Reconciliation Ecology Presentation added to SARSAS Youtube Channel
At the December meeting, Dr Peter Moyle, Distinguished Professor Emeritus in the Department of Wildlife Fish and Conservation Biology and associate director of the Center for Watershed Sciences, UC Davis, gave an outstanding presentation on Reconciliation Ecology. Dr Moyle defined Reconciliation Ecology as the science of inventing, establishing and maintaining new habitats to conserve species diversity in places where people live, work or play. Unless special efforts are made to reconcile the needs of man and the needs of natural systems, much of what we think of as the natural world will be lost.
