Protection efforts target Smith River
The Smith River in Northern California is one of the healthiest and most pristine rivers in California, and a critical salmon and steelhead stronghold. The Smith River alliance along with others are leading the way to protecting this asset. Keith Brauneis Productions and CalTrout are creating Eternally Wild, a short film about California’s Smith River, that will raise awareness of this Wild and Scenic gem, its steelhead, its history and its current plight. The film will examine current conditions and discuss future threats to the Smith. You can view the film here:
