Inventory of Obstacles to Salmon in Auburn Ravine
Recent reports of a seriously reduced salmon run points to the importance of protecting and expanding salmon spawning areas–the work of SARSAS. Auburn Ravine is prime salmon spawning territory with cold clear water and clean gravel. But to make use of this territory, the salmon must reach the gravel. Many obstacles have been removed, but many still remain where mitigation measures must be put in place. This inventory of obstacles shows the work still to be done.
